Mrs. Delores Chapman is the First Lady and Co-founder of The Mind of Christ Church. She is the Co-Founder and President of the Motivational Outreach Community Center. She received her formal education in the East St. Louis school system and completed her college education at a college in Saint Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Chapman is a retired professional.
Mrs. Chapman worked with numerous companies traveling as a clinical research associate and manager.
Her early Christian experience began at McCasland COGIC at the age of 6 years old. Her family relocated across town and she faithfully attended Greater New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Alexander. Mrs. Chapman did not know that God had a plan for her life, and he would bring her again back home to the Church of God in Christ. At the age of 17 years old God called and she answered giving her heart and soul to God and being filled with the Holy Ghost her life would never be the same.
Her ministry foundation and leadership training was developed in the Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Missionary Ada Mae Turner and Missionary Alice Smith, Mother Gradie Johnson, Mother in Love Dorothy Chapman, and Sister Grace Atkins. Pastor William Edwards and Pastor William Turner of Lovejoy Temple Church of God In Christ were her pastors. She received her Evangelist License on May 21, 1981 under Jurisdictional Bishop: Bishop William B. Turner, State Supervisor: Mother Theresa E. Bolden, National Supervisor: Mother Mattie McGlothen and Presiding Bishop: J.O. Patterson.
Evangelist Delores Chapman would work in the prison ministry with Mother Ada Mae Turner & Pastor James Williams for years and also worked in the Home and Foreign Mission with Mother Blanche Borders. Evangelist Chapman has worked in Tent Revival Ministry, Youth Department, Sunday School and the Women Ministry.
In July 1982 the family would attend Mount Calvary Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor William Scott. Evangelist Chapman was a faithful member at MTC and worked in the various departments: Youth Department, Sunday School Department, Nurses Unit, Outreach Ministry and Missionary Department. Evangelist Chapman has served as the District # 8 Aspiring Missionary President and worked as the administrative secretary for Dr. Gurthie Barnes for the Bishop Charles Harrison Mason Historical Society.
God would further develop her for the role of first lady at
The Mind of Christ Church in December 2016. Evangelist Chapman assist Pastor Chapman in the spiritual and
natural administration of the church. She is the department of women leader, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Department
& Mission Worker, & Site Director of the Food Pantry.
Evangelist Chapman has served over 40 years in leadership, management, communication, and church administration with business technology expertise. She has assisted Pastor Chapman in the implementation of many community-based programs and is the founder of Women Vessels of Honor Women Program. She is a loving wife, mother of four loving children, and grandmother.
